Job Description

  • Create master production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each job to meet proposed completion dates
  • Develop new or revise existing schedule(s) according to work order specifications , priorities & availability
  • Compile reports concerning progress of work and downtime to apprise production planning personnel delays
  • Plans & schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established lead times
  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Prepares production reports


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Apprentice graduate or Trade school preferred
  • Associates degree a plus
  • Microsoft Project certification a plus
  • Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Project ( 5 years plus experience)
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to read/comprehend blueprints (Marine Architecture – Machinery, Piping, Sheet Metal, Structural, Ventilation, and Technical Manuals)
  • General knowledge of shipyard trades – at least 5 years experience
  • Must be able to pass a drug/physical screening
  • Must be able to obtain a government facility security badge
