Job Description

  • Candidate will be working in a highly dynamic environment, often with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • The selected candidate will need to ensure that management needs, customer service, and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet project objectives.
  • This position will involve developing a tailored draft Integrated Logistics Support Program for the F-35 Block 4 Preliminary Design Review.
  • Candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Support customer in assessing new/modified F-35 Systems to show impacts on Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements, life cycle costs and aircraft readiness / availability.
  • Document and submit results in CDRL format for customer to update to their Life Cycle Support Plan (LCSP)
  • Coordinate and provide Technical details and reach-back to Suppliers for their respective systems
  • When necessary, lead technical teams, providing guidance and specific instruction to less experienced engineers
  • Perform his/her tasks without appreciable direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and assignments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in a technical field of study from an accredited university Experience: 10 years experience with Bachelors 8 years with Masters.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance, or ability to get a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tool suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills in order effectively interact with Government and industry counterparts, defense contractor organizations and other cross functional organizations.
  • Candidate must be independent and self-sufficient in order to act effectively off site from parent NGAS organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with military aircraft sustainment programs, and the responsibilities of different organizations within sustainment, including suppliers, depot and military services.
  • Knowledge of military specifications, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP) and contractual documents.
  • Understanding of technical principles, theories, subsystem design, and knowledge of general aircraft logistics.
