For our welders, these jobs mostly involve welding and riveting pieces together to create the vessels and containers as designed in the blueprints. As with our shipfitters, these skilled workers need to have expert knowledge of metallurgy, geometry and welding techniques, ability to read designs from diagrams and blueprints, manual dexterity and ability to operate power tools.
